Drama
Drama in schools can unlock
the use of imaginations, intellect, empathy and
courage. Through it, ideas, response and feelings
can be expressed and communicated. It carries the
potential to challenge, question, and bring about
change.

Kelly – Executive Director, National Theatre and
President of National Drama
Through engagement in
drama, pupils apply their imaginations and draw upon
their own personal experiences. Their increasing
knowledge and understanding of how the elements of
drama work enables them to actively shape, share and
express their ideas, feelings and responses, making
use of language, space, symbol, allegory and
metaphor.
